Welcome to Sri Guru Raghavendra International Prathisthaana

SGRIP has a two-fold mission and aims to unite devotees of Sri Guru Raghavendra Theertha Swami living in USA and around the world.

The main goals are:

• The establishment of the first-ever Tulasi Mrithika Brindavana of Sri Guru Raghavendra Theertha Swami in the US.
• Service Projects in keeping with the philosophy of Sri Guru Raghavendra Theertha Swami's teachings.

THE MRITHIKA BRINDAVANA PROJECT

The Mrithika Brindavana is a stone monument that contains the holy soil called Mrithika and is made out of a specific variety of stone.

The current proposal seeks to establish a Tulasi Mrithika Brindavana of Sri Guru Raghavendra Theertha Swami in the Mid-Atlantic, Illinois or

North Carolina region of the United States.

SGRIP seeks to ensure that the Brindavana:

• Location chosen is as centrally close to Indian Community and Rayaru devotees as possible.
• Serves as a place of worship and as a center for educational and service activities of Sri Raghavendra Swami devotees.
• Be maintained in accordance with the tradition followed by Sri Raghavendra Swami (SRS) Mutt Brindavanas in India.
• Be built on a raised platform with an attached prayer hall.
• Priest, as nominated by the Mantralayam SRS Mutt, perform all the religious duties.
• Provide an accommodation for the Priest in an adjacent house.
• Project is completed by an Aradhana day between 2012 and 2014.
